  • Making a Payment to Chapter 13 Trustees

    If you are a debtor currently in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and need to make your monthly payment, you may send a money order (with your case number on it) to your Trustee’s address listed below:

    If your Trustee is Suzanne E. Wade, send your payment to: “ Suzanne E. Wade, Ch.13 Trustee, P.O. Box 983, Memphis, TN 38101 “

    If your Trustee is Carl M. Bates, send your payment to: “Carl M. Bates, Ch.13 Trustee, P.O. Box 1433, Memphis, TN 38101 “

  • Credit Counseling Course

    Under Bankruptcy law, all debtors are required to take an approved “Credit Counseling Course,” not more than six months before filing for Bankruptcy.

    Additionally, after your Bankruptcy case is filed but before you receive a “discharge” in the end, you must take an approved “Debtor Education Course.”

    These courses are typically offered online or over the phone.

    Another course option is Abacus Credit Counseling, which you may contact at (800) 516-3834 or www.AbacusCC.org

  • Federal and State Tax Returns

    When filing for Bankruptcy, you must provide a copy of your Federal and State Tax Returns from the last two years to the Trustee. If you do not have a copy, you will have to contact the IRS and / or Virginia Department of Taxation to request an official transcript.

  • DMV Lien Check / Vehicle Transcript

    When filing for Bankruptcy, if you have a vehicle with a creditor or lender on it, then you must provide a DMV lien check / vehicle transcript to the Trustee.
